If you are not trying to prevent pregnancy, then you are actively trying to conceive.




Make that a permanent entry in the record books.

I agree, but when people are nosy and ask if we are trying, I just say we're not trying to prevent it. I hate the comments they feel like they need to make when we say we're trying.

To me "actively TTC" = charting, OPKs, timing, lots-o-sex, etc. Really working on it and getting into it (haha)

Not preventing = just that. not TRYING but not preventing either.

I'm sort of with Mrs.G, however, not preventing also means "I fully accept any and all responsibility that comes as a result of my potentially stupid actions." Too bad there are too many people "not preventing" who don't get the memo about the potential for lifelong responsibility that comes along with not being smart.
